Most apartment buildings are made to be sold. Ours are made to be lived in, and to stay with us for decades. That changes the choices we make: better windows over cheaper ones, layouts that work for real life, materials that age well instead of just photographing well. For twenty years, we’ve built and restored homes across Philadelphia that we’re proud to own, and we still own them.
Half of our homes are in buildings with a history, such as a converted church or a former factory, where we’ve kept the brick, the beams, and the bones that make them one of a kind. The other half we’ve built from the ground up, designed with the same attention to light, proportion, and finish. Different buildings, same intention: a home that feels like it was made for someone, not for the market.
There’s no outside management company standing between you and the owners. When something needs attention, it’s handled by a local team that knows the building and has every reason to keep it at its best. Our residents tend to stay a long time, and we think that says more than anything we could write here.

Jordan Brody is the founder and President of Metropolitan Group. He is responsible for company strategy and direction, coordinating design and planning, entitlement and project development, and sourcing the equity and debt to construct and permanently finance each project.
Before forming Metropolitan Group, Jordan was a top real estate broker for Coldwell Banker for over a decade, focused on new construction home development. He has been directly involved in the development of over 500 units in Philadelphia.
Jordan lives in Fitler Square with his three daughters and rescue dog Major. Outside of work he enjoys reading, traveling, exploring new cities and cultures, working out, and spending time with family.
Joe Solomon joined Metropolitan Group in 2014. Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, Joe oversees residential, commercial and multifamily properties throughout the city.
He brings experience in property management, maintenance, accounting, leasing and general contracting. When he isn’t working, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and dog and rooting for Philadelphia sports teams.
Anthony began his real estate career in Philadelphia, working in sales, rentals and operations at well-established brokerages before joining Metropolitan Group’s contracting division as Director of Operations.
A strong believer in maintaining relationships, Anthony manages finances and budgets, retains contracts, works with local government agencies, and keeps day-to-day operations running smoothly. He holds a Bachelor of Science and a real estate license, and is OSHA 30 certified.
A city resident for more than 13 years, he looks forward to his escapes to the Jersey Shore.
